[News] Kim Hyun Joong awes fellow cast members with his good looks on ‘Barefoot Friends’ [2013.04.21]

On the first broadcast of SBS ‘Barefoot Friends‘, the cast members took some time to get to know each other. Ahead of the their first expedition, they filmed a virtual greeting to their fellow teammates, sending them to everyone on the cast list.
Hilariously, nearly everyone who watched Kim Hyun Joong‘s message had only one thing to say. “He’s really good-looking,” said Yoon Si Yoon, Eunhyuk, and Kim Bum Soo.
Kim Hyun Joong had more to say, however. “It’s been a while since I’ve promoted in Korea,” he said. “I think my unique character, which hasn’t been seen in a long time, will bring joy on Sunday nights.”
Perhaps because of his good looks, he ended up getting the most replies from the cast members to his virtual message, ahead of the cast’s departure to Vietnam.

Appropriate to the title of ‘Barefoot Friends‘, the cast of the show went barefoot for the first episode!
SBS had already released the first preview, and they now released another one in which the cast ditchtheir shoes for various activities, including a performance in front of a crowd. The preview ends wih the cast attempting a barefoot high-five, keeping true to the title of the show.
In addition to featuring ‘nation’s MC’ Kang Ho Dong, the cast lineup includes Yoo Se Yoon, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Si Yoon, Kim Bum Soo, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, and After School‘s UEE. The first episode will air on April 21st, so check out the 2nd preview below!

[News] Kim Hyun Joong (김현중) New SBS variety show ‘Barefoot Friends’ reveals preview for first episode in Vietnam [2013.04.14]

Set to begin next week, SBS‘s newest variety program ‘Barefoot Friends‘ hyped up its first episode with a teaser preview that was aired after this week’s ‘Running Man‘ episode.
The cast members set off a few weeks ago to film their first episode in Vietnam. The preview shows them encountering the locals and doing various tasks and fulfilling missions, often related to Vietnamese culture.
Featuring ‘nation’s MC’ Kang Ho Dong, the cast lineup includes Yoo Se Yoon, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Si Yoon, Kim Bum Soo, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, and After School‘s UEE.
‘Barefoot Friends’ will air next week at 4:50 PM KST, replacing ‘K-Pop Star 2‘ as part of SBS’s Sunday evening variety block.

BarefootFriends' 2nd journey continues to Indonesia.
According to the multiple sources from the show, SBS 'Good Sunday - Survival Audition K-pop Star 2''s follow-up program, 'BarefootFriends' (BF) will go to Indonesia following the filming in Vietnam.
Since BF has not been shown its 1st episode after its filming in Vietnam, the news of another shooting oversea arouses audience's curiosity about the show. The members of BF are planning to go to Indonesia to film the show during this month.
On April 8th, BF members of Kang Ho Dong, Yun Jong Sin, Yu Se Yun, Kim Beom Soo, Kim Hyun Joong, Yun Si Yun, SJ Eunhyuk, and Afterschool Uee had returned from its 1st filming in Vietnam.
The preview of BF has been released showing its members struggling with the mission of 'live for 24hrs exactly like Vietnamese locals'. Most of all, the principle of 'self-sufficiency' caught audience's eyes.
The following footage showed the cast members pulling cyclos and going boat fishing, selling in the local market.
Also, the phrase of 'The Barefoot Journey to find real happiness' was noticeable. The preview gave a hint about the meaning of the word 'barefoot' in the show title, which represents 'all the members run barefoot without anything.'
The BF preview including members' journey in the Vietnam without any help, communicating something beyond language only with sweat and smile, has raised expectations of the show.
After filming in Vietnam, BF will visit another country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and arouse audience's curiosity about the next mission. BF's 1st episode will be airing on coming 21st, as the part 1 of 'Good Sunday'.

[News] Kim Hyun Joong (김현중) - SBS' new variety show, ‘Barefoot Friends’, reveals final cast as they set off to Vietnam

After many rumors and guesses concerning who will join the cast of SBS‘s new variety show, fans were finally able to catch a glimpse of the whole cast for the upcoming show which will now be known as ‘Barefoot Friends‘!
MC Kang Ho Dong, Yoo Se Yoon, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Si Yoon, Kim Bum Soo, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, and After School‘s UEE all gathered together for the first time at Incheon International Airport to film the opening scene at 7AM on the 4th KST.
The cast will spend a 3 night and 4 day trip in Vietnam, and the eight members will be split up into two teams of four members and perform various missions. The cast showed their excitement for the new show by giving their “fighting” cheer before boarding the plane. Yoon Jong Shin will be boarding separately due to his recording for ‘Incarnation‘.
‘Barefoot Friends’ will premiere following ‘K-Pop Star 2‘ on the 21st!

The upcoming SBS variety programme leaded by Kang Ho-dong, have gathered for their first meeting with the PD, staffs and members.
Together with Kang Ho-dong, Yoon Se-yoon, Yoon Jong-In, Kim Bum-soo, Kim Hyun-Joong, Yoon Si-Yoon and etc have gathered together for their first meeting on 30th March afternoon at certain location in Seoul. According to one representative from SBS, 'We can only confirmed to public that we have indeed met on 30th March, for the detailed time and location it is to be remained confidential at the moment as we are carefully preparing for the new production & audience can keep their expectation high for the programme'.
The first filming location for the programme will be in Vietnam. With Kang Ho-dong leading the final confirmed members, they will leave for Vietnam on 4th April. The SBS representative added, 'It would be a 4 days 3 night shooting. Series of missions such as finding their way to the innerland of Vietnam, building a well & many more mission will be structured for the programme. The programme are expected not to only bring laughters but it is also informative programme.
The new SBS variety programme hosted by Kang Ho-dong will take over the 'Good Sunday-Survival Audition K-pop Star 2', airing its first episode on 21st April.

Singer Kim Hyun Joong put on a special performance at the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejun that took place at the KINTEX in Ilsan on December 29th.
Everyone held their breath as Kim Hyun Joong caressed After School leader Kahi‘s long legs and pulled her in for what seemed would be a kiss.
He then immediately turned to his right and wrapped his arms around Nana‘s waist and leaned his face in towards hers, which drove the fans wild.
The event was hosted by Lee Seung Gi, Song Ji Hyo, along with Girls’ Generation member Yoona, and artists such as B2ST, 2PM, Wonder Girls, KARA, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, and more put on various never-before seen performances.
Audience members could not look away for even a moment, as the 2011 SBS Gayo Dajun was chock-full of performances including ballad stages, a sexy performance of the top idol divas, and a fierce dance battle between the idol boys.
