Will SS501, the idol group that use to have five members, be able to reunite? After their contract terminated with DSP Media in 2010, each member signed with different entertainment agencies and have all been doing their own thing. Recently however, the rumors of the reunification of Kim Hyun Joong, Park Jung Min, Kim Hyung Jun, Heo Young Saeng, and Kim Kyu Jong have been drawing attention in the music industry.

After leaving DSP Media, the members of SS501 all stated clearly that they were not breaking up. Last August, it has been reported that the members discussed hopeful thoughts of a reunification when they all met before Kim Kyu Jong left for the Korean military. Just like the legendary group ShinHwa, SS501 is drawing attention as they are showing hopes of reuniting after years of separation.

Park Jung Min expressed his careful thoughts of a reunification during an interview with eNEWS after his showcase of "Give Me Your Heart" in Tokyo, which followed his official Japanese debut. Park Jung Min stated, "It's true that all the members got together before Kyu Jong left for the military. As we all emphasized before, we never broke up so all of us have continuing hopes of reuniting."

However, Park Jung Min was careful in speaking about the details of possible future plans for SS501. Park Jung Min added, "There is a member who is in the military currently and the rest of the members are still under contract with different agencies so it's very difficult to announce anything specific. However, just like the SS501 fans who have been hoping for a reunification, we the members, are thinking the same thing."

SS501 debuted back in 2005. Within 5 years, SS501 released a total of 18 mini-albums and digital singles. The most popular hit songs include songs like, "Love Like This", "U R Man", "Love Ya", "Promise to Promise" as well as soundtrack songs for the famous drama "Boys Over Flowers".

After the contract with SS501 terminated, leader Kim Hyun Joong signed with Key East Entertainment which is the agency of Bae Yong Joon. Park Jung Min signed with A&R Entertainment, which is the company related with the international musical instrument company, Yamaha. Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng joined B2M Entertainment wihle Kim Hyung Jun signed with S-Plus Entertainment.

They didn't meet Kim Hyun Joong. Kyu Jong gave autograph to fans and took photos with them. It's chuseok, so Kyu Jong has days off to celebrate it, so nice... ^___^

Triple S across the globe are celebrating the seventh anniversary of group SS501.

SS501 who performed their very first music stage with “Warning / Everything” through KMTV‘s Show! Music Tank back on June 8th of 2005 are celebrating their 7th anniversary today.

Although the group members are focused on their solo activities and under different agencies, much likeShinhwa, fans are patiently waiting for the day they can return together as one.

In celebration, fans are trying to trend the hashtag #Happy7thSS501.

With the members of SS501 busy with their own individual activities, the public has been unable to see the group together since 2010.

However, Triple S fans in Seoul were able to see the five members all together this weekend, when Hyun Joong, Young Saeng, Jung Min and Hyung Jun made special plans to attend Kyu Jong‘s final fanmeet before his army enlistment.

According to reports, Hyun Joong flew in after hosting his own fanmeet in China, and Jung Min looked on from the audience for unannounced reasons.

While Kyu Jong’s enlistment means that SS501 cannot be fully active as five until 2014, many Triple S fans have been ecstatic about finally seeing the group together for the first time in two years. The five-man fanmeet energized Triple S fans around the world, with Hyun Joong reassuring, ”SS501 will never disband, so please wait for us!”

Although official photos have yet to be released, online fan communities and social media websites have exploded with messages, with the hashtag #SS501Reunited reportedly trending on Twitter in Indonesia, Singapore and other parts of Southeast Asia for some time. Fanmeet attendees have also begun to post photos of the five men together at the event  on the internet, sharing the experience with eager Triple S fans worldwide.

In related news, Young Saeng just made his solo comeback on ‘Inkigayo‘ last night with his latest song, “Crying“, and Hyun Joong recently topped Oricon’s DVD chart as the second international solo artist since Michael Jackson,

SS501 gathered together to say goodbye to Kim Kyu Jong. On June 3, SS501 held a fan meeting despite the fact that all the members are not part of the same agency anymore!
Kim Kyu Jong said during an interview, “I am so thankful to the members who have come together despite their busy schedule. Although we contact each other often, this particular meeting feels more special.”
Kim Hyun Joong went to the fan meeting after flying in from Japan. Heo Young Saeng went to the fan meeting after SBS ‘Inkigayo.’ Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon also attended the fan meeting.
The title of the fan meeting was “Thank U Thank U with Triple S.” During the fan meeting, he revealed a song written for songs. He stated, “Although I have not decided on a title yet, I made the song thinking about you fans. Please listen to it well.” He also performed his solo song “What’s Up.”
Kim Kyu Jong will enlist into his mandatory military service in July.
