On June 23rd, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong and Heo Young Saeng guested on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together” and shared stories related to food and cosplay uniforms.
Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he had gone to a jjambbong (Chinese style spicy noodles with seafood) restaurant notorious for its spicy noodles right after completing a music program schedule. He daringly ordered the spiciest on the menu despite the chef personally coming out and advising him against it.
Two minutes after taking his first bite, Kim Hyun Joong explained that he began sweating profusely. After six minutes, he rushed to the bathroom because of stomach pains, and eventually passed out.
He later heard from his manager that he had fainted in the bathroom, showing only the whites of his eyes. Hilariously, the chef watched him ride off in an ambulance with a smile.
The leader also revealed that he had bought a schoolgirl outfit made for cosplay when SS501 first visited Japan after seeing Heo Young Saeng buy a Chinese school outfit.
When the MCs asked if he had ever tried it on, he replied, “I have it hung up as decoration.” He emphasized that he had merely purchased it because there were a lot of cosplay outfits in the stores, and he was fascinated by them.
Heo Young Saeng added, “I bought it with a pure heart just because I thought the clothes were pretty, but a lot of people misunderstood me and thought I was going to make a girlfriend wear it or something.”

Kim Hyun-joong spilled the beans on how he passed out after eating spicy noodles.
Kim started talking on the KBS 2TV "Happy Together 3" program recently, "After a music program, when I was relieved of the tension I went to a famous spicy noodle place and ordered some".
"The chef came out and tried to make me think twice but I thought why not so I asked for it. 2 minutes into the spicy noodles I started sweating and 6 minutes later my stomach hurt so I went to the bathroom and then passed out".
He then continued to tell the thrilling story, "Hearing it from my manager later, I was sitting in the bathroom showing white in the eyes and passed out". Kim was then put on an ambulance and he saw the chef looking at him smugly.

It’s just been revealed that SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong will be releasing a limited edition version of his debut solo album, “Break Down“!
KeyEast Entertainment stated, “We are releasing a limited edition album as a gesture of thanks for those fans who’ve sent lots of love for Kim Hyun Joong’s first mini-album. The limited edition contains a variety of content, including a ‘making-of’ clip as well as personal stories from Kim Hyun Joong himself.”
The limited edition album is comprised of a CD and a making-of clip, a DVD containing the music videos for ‘Break Down’ and ‘Please‘, and 48 pages of never-before-seen photos.
The making-of film holds a special video message for fans as well as highlights from June 7th’s showcase. It also includes clips of Kim Hyun Joong’s dance practice and behind-the-scenes moments from the MV set.
A representative from KeyEast stated, “We regrouped with the best staff once again to provide higher-quality videos and footage, different from the ones you’d find in other limited edition albums.”

Solo singer Kim Hyun-joong has made quite the successful comeback, selling 100,000 copies of his album already.
According to album sales tracking agency, Hanteo Chart, on June 22nd, Kim sold 80,000 copies of his mini album “Break Down” in just the first two weeks. Another 20,000 were sold until now making total sales clock in at about 100,000 copies.
During times when albums are no longer the popular choice of music purchases, this figure is quite significant. So significant that the popular star is the first solo singer to have made such sales. He’s in good company of other idol groups like Big Bang and TVXQ who have accomplished the same feat as a group.
According to KEYEAST, Kim is planning on embarking on his Asia Tour in August. This is expected to only increase sales.

He stated, “When SS501 first went to Japan, we came across a cosplay store.” Cosplay is short for “costume play,” and participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character. In Japan, these characters are often drawn from popular mangas.
Kim Hyun Joong said, “Heo Young Saeng bought a Chinese dress-like outfit from the store. The seven ladies of T-ara and SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong were awarded the titles of “Best CF actor/actress” at the 2011 MTN Broadcast Commercial Festival.
“Thank you for giving me such a meaningful award,” said Kim Hyun Joong, whose fame skyrocketed through his drama, “Boys Over Flowers“. “In the future, I will do better in commercials as well as branch out into other forms of media.”
All seven members of T-ara were present to receive their award, which is decided by a panel of industry executives and specialists. “Thank you for the award, and please show a lot of love to our new album, which we’ll be releasing soon,” the ladies said.
T-ara will soon be unleashing their new album, “John Travolta Wannabe“.
